Speed Bingo Games

If bingo is your game of choice but you’re short on time, patience or you just want to mix things up a little bit, then speed bingo is for you. There are numerous different variants of speed bingo, so you’ll never get bored, and the only difference between speed bingo and regular bingo games is that everything is played at a much faster pace – meaning that you can hit the next game more quickly.

Fast paced bingo games

There are three main types of speed bingo games, and these are listed in more detail below to help you get a feel for each game before you get stuck in:

  • 30 ball: 30 ball bingo, is, as the name suggests, played on a game of 30 numbered balls. Each card is a 3×3 grid with 9 randomly selected numbers, and the person to win is the first person to cover all numbers. 30 ball bingo can often be played in a progressive jackpot.
  • Flash fives: Flash fives bingo is played with a 52-5 (jokers are excluded) deck of cards instead of numbered balls. Each ticket or card contains five playing cards (which can be referred to as a hand), and the to win the game you must cover all five cards on your ticket. This is known as a Full House. Flash fives bingo is a nice alternative to regular numbered bingo, particularly if you’re used to bigger 90 ball games.
  • 5 line bingo (Swedish bingo): Swedish bingo is played on a 5×5 grid whereby the centre square is not free, essentially giving players mul chances to win – unlike 90 ball and 75 ball bingo whereby players have 1-3. (Some sites will offer players 1-4 chances so check the Ts and Cs.) Essentially, Swedish bingo is described as playing 90 ball bingo on a 75 ball card, but without that free square in the middle of the card. You can win on 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 full lines, anywhere on the card, or using either diagonal full line. 5 full lines will bag you a full house and likely a bigger jackpot.

Can I play for free?

Of course, there are plenty of speed bingo-style games and apps that you can play for free, too. A couple of our favourites include:
